Mooooo-cho fun!

This weekend has been a blast. Work hard, play hard, right? We had the Pillow fight on the Dam, Easter and Campina Open dag with the koeiendans, which are all beter explained in pictures.
The weather is not really improving, but we still managed to do quite some work in the garden.

Please Sun, come out and show my veggies it's fun to go outside, inside the house they are not doing that well....:o( The cats are intrigued by the smell of fresh soil and love to sleep on top of my bean-nursery, as that is a sunny spot.

At a certain point earlier this week, when we were at a point beyond exhaustion, but still trying to move heavy bags of gravel, I asked my partner in crime: why don't we just stop? She said, serious and matter of factly: I think it's because of our mothers...
I had to laugh, because that is SO true!

But my mother also taught me to be creative and find delight in the simple things (just youtube otter501), so to heal my absolutely un-ladylike battered hands from working too hard in the garden, I let them be licked by precious black and white mini-boo's and danced as the cows danced.

...because we only live once

Sooooo (big inhale of breath): you befriend someone more than 11 years ago that now works for the KLM, she get a CUR flight just about the right period of the year, you convince your husband that he can take off work for 3 days, the next morning you convince your husband again and then book the tickets, you hope and pray that the flight does not fill up at the last moment, find someone to take care of cat 1, 2 and 3, wait for the prijzencircus to buy a pretty pink wheelie bag, wake up really, really early to get the bus and bus to Schiphol, fly through security, sit and wait for all paying customers to board, get on board with room to spare (jee!), sit more than comfortably with super service from the flight attendants, watch 6 movies on your personal entertainment set, land in SXM, wait, fly home (jee again!), fly through security again and then the racing really starts….

Once again we did it, 48 hours on CUR. This time with Joris, and once again thanks to Inge. We had planned ahead and got to do a lot of the things we set out to do, but it was heavy duty travelling. In 100 hours, maybe 10 hours sleep. We are still recovering from it, but with big smiles on our faces.

We got to hug my family and some of our friends, eat some of our fav foods, get haircuts at our own barber and swim in the ocean. Just enough to tie us over to the next time. Which will be soon!
